A lot of the same fabrics and and similar hair colors where used for this line. These dolls are known for their sunglasses which are part of the head mold.
Many of the fabrics used in the Jem line were commercially available to all toy manufacturers and the general public. Hasbro, Tonka, and other toy companies often used the fabric manufactured in Asia and sold in the US. That kept cost down by eliminating the developing, manufacture and exporting and importing of fabrics, patterns, etc., to the factories producing the dolls and fashions.
Designers from Hasbro would travel to New York City to see what Micro-fiber fabrics were available and manufactured in the countries that toy lines would be produced in. The designers would buy small samples of the fabric for prototyping, and send swatches to the manufacture to locate the fabric in China and/or Hong Kong. Hasbro did create some of their own fabrics, but other toy companies reused many of the commercial fabrics used in the Jem line. Hollywoods fashions are good examples of the commercial fabrics used for the On Stage Fashion "How You Play the Game™" in the Jem line,
