The prototype fabric for Jem's "Splashes
of Sound" is almost identical to the Rose-Petal
Place "Painting Posies" fashion. The Jem fabric
pattern it more consistent then the Rose-Petal fabric.
You will also notice that the solid fabric colors of
both fashions are purple and yellow, to go along with
these fabric designs.

Another fabric that was similar
for both lines is the fabric of 1st issue Aja's miniskirt.
Orchid's fashion is the same basic color and has the similar
pattern.
Jem's "Encore"
fahions and Rose-Petal's "Rose Water" seem very
similar too.
The fashion design
is very similar too. Rose-Petal Place's Orchid fashion,
"Bathing Beauty", "Painting Poise",
"Dotted Dancer", "Tea Rose Party"
and "Flower Dreams" have a similar style shoulder
to Regine's fashion and the shoulder of "Love's Not
Easy". Also the 1985 Unproduced Rose-Petal Place
fashions for Fuchsia and Marigold have this same style
of shoulder
Jem's "Gold
Rush" fashions also uses similar styles and material
to Rose-Petal Place fashions. The fashion in Hollywood
Jem, that Jem is wearing to the awards also falls into
this same style. It's seen on Rose-Petal Place fashions
for Lily Fair, Daffodil, Iris, Rose-Petal, "Garden
Belle", "Bathing Beauty", "Skating
