Rumor: Hasbro revealed
prototypes of dolls to Investors during the Fall 2009
Investor Day -- for the new cartoon.
Jem was not mentioned during the web cast portion.
Hasbro stated some titles were not going to be talked
about to prevent competition, but the investors would
see them in development during the work through of
Hasbro.
Hasbro
was developing a New JEM line. The project was canceled
(I would assume for the Pussycat Dolls dolls, 2006 -
which was also canceled) There was rumored that Hasbro
is still planning for a 2007-2008. But that seems to
be just a rumor, it sounds like Jem is not in development
at the moment.
There was no sign of Jem at the 2007
Toy Fair. So more then likely Jem will not be back for
2007. But Hasbro is still updating the trademarks, for
dolls, books, etc. With any luck, we well see something
by 2011 for Jem's 25th Anniversary.

Jem's "Only the Beginning," and "Like
a Dream" seem very similar to "Baby Blue."
Jem's "Dancin' the Night Away" seem very
similar to "Purple Passion."
Jem's "Command Performance" and "Flash'n
Sizzle" Jem dress seem very similar to "Fancy

Some of the fashions from
the Jem show are also similar to Glamour Gals fashions.
As far as we know these show fashions where created by
the artist at Sunbow, and not the fashion designers from
Hasbro. So there should be no real connection, but you
never know.
"Cranberry Cuite" looks very similar to
the fashion Jem wore in "Broadway Magic."

"Blue Moon" and "Copper Cutie"

There are some elements in
this fashion that are from Darci, and would have been
used in Jem.
"Softey Suited" looks very similar to
an unproduced Darci fashion, and the portfolio is
similar to Darci's too.
Jem's Regine (1988) would have had a portfolio,
and several of the Jem's Matching Medley Fashions
(1988) would have been velvet with dye-cuts similar
to Softey Suited.
