The episodes with writers
Many sites, and even the DVD releases may have a different order for the episodes (Original Air Dates.) This list is the order each episode was submitted. You will notice that Truly Outrageous is 5205-08 to - 5205-12 on this list, this is because Truly Outrageous was not considered part of the Jem show at first. Truly Outrageous was the 15 seven minute segments of Super Sunday (1985.)

* = Theoretically, these seem to be the production number for the Super Sunday episodes. I'm not 100% sure, but some of the illustration used in those episodes are in the Jem Bible and listed with those numbers instead of the Jem production numbers. These numbers are 4041 to 4044, most included an a, b, or c which seems to line up with these episodes in most cases. There are no 4045 listed in the Bible, but almost everything was introduced in the previous 4 episodes/12 segments.
Season 2 (or officially Jem Season 1)
When the Jem shows started, Starbright was the first episodes, then Truly Outrageous was exteneded into 5 episodes and added to the Jem Series.
The show is really broken down into two season. But because Truly Outrageous was produced in 1985, many people considered that Season 1, then Starbright through Glitter and Gold Season 2, with the rest Season 3.
You will notice that there is no episode "5205-27", I'm not sure why that number was skipped, but there is no missing episode(s). Christy Marx said there is no unproduced and/or unaired episodes.
5205-01 - STARBRIGHT part 1 "FALLING STAR" - Marx, Christy
5205-02 - STARBRIGHT part 2 "COLLIDING STARS" - Marx, Christy
5205-03 - STARBRIGHT part 3 "RISING STAR" - Marx, Christy
5205-04 - WORLD HUNGER SHINDIG, THE - Skrenes, Mary
5205-05 - ADVENTURE IN CHINA - Bornstein, Beth
5205-06 - LAST RESORT - Slifer, Roger
5205-07 - IN STITCHES - Skrenes, Mary
5205-08 - TRULY OUTRAGEOUS part 1: BEGINNING, THE - Marx, Christy (extended Jem episode)
5205-63 - STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART (YOUR 15 MINUTES ARE UP) - Dixon, Buzz
5205-64 - CHANGE OF HEART - Marx, Christy
5205-65 - RIOT'S HOPE -Slifer, Roger
5205-66 - A FATHER SHOULD BE... - Marx, Christy above "new" songs registered August 29, 1988, but more then likely recorded October 19. 1987 or shortly after.
Many times Christy Marx has stated that Jem had a complete 65 episodes run. She has also said that the contracts for the episodes were for 13 episodes at a time, but I’m not sure if that means within the first 26 episodes too. The math is kind of fascinating for a 65 episode syndicated run. 65 episodes for Hasbro/Sunbow is basically made up of five 13 episode contracts. With 5 episodes a week of that 65 episodes run, the complete run is 13 weeks or exactly 1/4 of a year. So each episodes is only shown 4 times through out a year, if the show is continually aired. It’s all “um-duh” kind of math, but I never really thought about it or paid attention to it.
The writers with the episode(s) they wrote
I have included links to the imdb.com page for each of Jem's writers, so you can see what other series and movies they have worked on. You will notice that if there are two writers for an episodes I have listed them twice, under each name.
