Due to local laws, trade
restrictions, or international relations with China
and/or Hong Kong -- the dolls released in Spain where
also "Made in Spain." It does seem that some
European fashions where sold in Spain.
I am not sure if the playsets where sold
in Spain or not. If playset where sold whether they
where Made in Spain or not those playsets where used
the European versions with Spanish stickers, like the
fashions.

where made in Valencia, Spain.
The make-up,
fabric, instrument colors and plastic can differ from
the normal "made in China" and "made
in Hong Kong" produced Jem.

Jem/Jerrica, Kimber, Aja, Shana, Roxy, Pizzazz, Stormer,
and Rio where the dolls made in Spain as far as I know.
Rio's box says "Totalmente Fantastica.=,"
the Star Stage is called "Escenario-Rock,"
and the Rock Backstager is called "Camerino"

This one
has a sticker saying it comes with a cassette.
Roughly translates to:
"FREE! a cassette with history and music!"

hair is a bright pinker in color, but not much, and
more matte then the US Jem
US Jem - Spanish Jem looks about the same, but has
no bracelet and this Spanish doll comes with a cassette
tape.
The US (left) and the Spanish
shoe (right) are very different. The color is not the
same, the Spanish little more purple. But the Spanish
shoe is hard plastic like the US shoe.

A (side 1) has a story with songs intertwined.
This is the basic story line from what I can understand:
"Jem Theme (extended version)" bleeds into
the story. The story seems to be a sort version of Truly
Outrageous. Jerrica has the Starlight Girls, needs money
from Starlight Music...the Misfits and Eric are there
"Outta My Way". Synergy is revealed and Jem
hits the seen"Only The Beginning" More dialog,
then the "Jem theme," really short...with
cheering. The Misfits "Winning is Everything"
is next, then the "Jem Theme" again...all
with cheering, like Battle of the Bands. That leads
to "Click/Clash" playing under the dialog.
Ending with "Jem Fantástica (Spanish theme)"

B (side 2) includes the following songs...no story:
"Jem Theme", "Like A Dream", "Click/Clash",
"Twilight In Paris", "Gettin' Down To Business",

Hologram/Misfit Spanish Hairpicks
I used my slide
scanner to scan the hairpicks with light shining through
them. It did not work as well as I would like, but give
you an idea. If you hold the Spanish hairpick up to a
light you can see the Jem from the opposite side very
clearly.
