Rumor: Hasbro revealed
prototypes of dolls to Investors during the Fall 2009
Investor Day -- for the new cartoon.
Jem was not mentioned during the web cast portion.
Hasbro stated some titles were not going to be talked
about to prevent competition, but the investors would
see them in development during the work through of
Hasbro.
Hasbro
was developing a New JEM line. The project was canceled
(I would assume for the Pussycat Dolls dolls, 2006 -
which was also canceled) There was rumored that Hasbro
is still planning for a 2007-2008. But that seems to
be just a rumor, it sounds like Jem is not in development
at the moment.
There was no sign of Jem at the 2007
Toy Fair. So more then likely Jem will not be back for
2007. But Hasbro is still updating the trademarks, for
dolls, books, etc. With any luck, we well see something
by 2011 for Jem's 25th Anniversary.

This
doll does not just have one connection to Jem; it seems
to have three connections to the 1988 Jem line.
This line is called" American Beauties Barbie
Collection." Hasbro was going to release a cheaper
Jem doll named, "American Beauty Jem."
Hasbro was developing a Mardi
Gras Jem fashion collection under the name “Video
Costumes.” These fashions were highlighted
in the Mardi Gras Jem episode.
This fashion is also very similar in style to a
Jem “World Tour
Fashion” in development for 1988. (pictured

Personally I would love to know when the Barbie doll
was developed and produced. It seems like Mattel heard
what Hasbro had developed for Jem, and decided to slap
Hasbro in face after the Jem line was canceled. It looks
like they tried to use as many of the unproduced Jem
themes on, one Barbie, as they could.
